Who is healthEconnect Alaska?
Established in 2009, healthEconnect Alaska is a nonprofit organization designated by the Alaska Department of Health to serve as Alaska’s statewide Health Information Exchange (HIE).
Our mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of all Alaskans by securely connecting healthcare information and supporting the timely exchange of data where and when it is needed most.
Today, healthEconnect Alaska works with more than 130 organizations across the state and supports a growing network of providers, hospitals, behavioral health organizations, laboratories, public health programs, and community partners.

healthEconnect Alaska partners with CRISP Shared Services (CSS), one of the nation’s leading health information exchange technology organizations. CSS supports HIEs and public health initiatives across the country and maintains nationally recognized security and privacy standards. Together, we work closely to deliver reliable, secure, and innovative services to Alaska’s healthcare community.
Because of this partnership, you may occasionally see CSS logos on training materials or be referred to CSS for technical assistance. This is normal. healthEconnect Alaska and CSS operate as collaborative partners, maintaining open communication and shared priorities to ensure network participants receive timely, coordinated support.
