healthEconnect Alaska, the state’s health information exchange (HIE), has appointed Dr. Kendra Sticka, Ph.D., R.D.N., as the new executive director. Dr. Sticka brings over 20 years of experience from the University of Alaska Anchorage, where she served as the Associate Dean of Clinical Health Sciences. Under her leadership, healthEconnect aims to expand its HIE and data services, particularly in underserved rural and urban areas, following a new state contract awarded in April 2023. Dr. Sticka is committed to enhancing partnerships with community-based organizations and state agencies to improve health outcomes and reduce care costs across Alaska. Her extensive background in healthcare delivery and public service positions her to lead healthEconnect in its mission to ensure all healthcare providers have access to critical patient health information, fostering whole-person, wrap-around care in Alaska.
